GMB posts: events, offers and products#96

Events allow for an extra headline of text.

Offers are more CTA heavy and were recently granted more visibility (at the top of the GMB profile rather than the bottom).

Here’s an article with info about the update:

Similarly, on Google My Business, you can create Product Posts. It basically allows you to provide a title & a price besides the description, photo and the CTA button.

This is now LIVE!

You can now schedule your Google My Business events & offers.

Unfortunately we won’t be able to support product posts because Google API (what we use to communicate with Google) stopped supporting them a few months ago.

Additional suggestion to this great feature. Currently it is not possible to have reoccuring events (you mentioned this is because the require a start and end date).
If I have the same event, every week, at the same time it would be nice to bulk create (which basically is reoccuring) or have this event automatically created every week.

@M3L, even though it’s technically very challenging, you don’t even need to create recurring events.

You can simply create one big event that has a very long time span, i.e. ends in a year for example.

In the description you can specify that this event occurs every week at this time.

We ran a quick test. The attached event ends a year from now and it was posted on December 4th (10 days ago).

As you can see, this event still shows up on related Google search results, even though it’s been more than 7 days since it was posted (posts on GMB expire after 7 days).

I hope this helps and apologies for the intentional delay in response.
