Android / iOS app#4

I schedule almost all my posts from my phone. A mobile app would be just perfect.

Do you have a rough planning date?

I would say by the end of year. The initial plan was to have the mobile apps ready by the end of the first half of 2019, but priorities changed.

Hi, any updates on the current planning status?

The mobile apps require additional specialized developers, for which we’re currently raising funds.

As soon as the funds become available, hopefully by the end of the month, we will start hiring one iOS developer and one Android developer.

Meanwhile, everyone can help us by sharing Publer with their network. The faster we grow, the less will be the need for external funds.

The “give a free month, get a free month” campaign is still running: https://blog.publer.me/give-a-free-month-get-a-free-month

Besides the free month, you will earn a commission (in cash) for each recurring payment from the customer that you brought.

Can I ask, what can the app do that the mobile web version can not.

No major differene besides being able to get push notifications, upload photos & videos to Publer with a click of a button (using the Share button just like you do for Facebook, Whatsapp etc).

Oh is that it… I thought you could add cool features such as adding location when posting (since you are out with your phone), phoneside compression to save on upload bandwidth and features that take advantage of the phones abilities.

Hey.. this would be awesome. I take photos and videos on my phone, so it’d be ideal to be able to upload them on the go to our Publer account.

I don’t see any value making Android/iOs apps when the web platform works just as well. That’s a waste of money for little gain. All these features users are mentioning here can be added for the mobile web experience. The cost benefit analysis does not justify it, especially if you have limited resources. You’ll have to really balance the need for this. What would be great and I created an item for it is enabling web push notifications to get that communication we need from the platform outside of email.

Merged Make an app!!#425

Mostly we have mobile phones with us, and whenever the thought arises its easy to pull it out by having the app and compose our thought and schedule it through mobile.

We can see a good interface and superhandy when it comes to app.

Customers will pop up just because you have an app. Trust me there are large set of customer who will be happy, just if yoh managed to release an app, that even just works fine with text scheduling.
